Plumbing FAQ's

Q: What plumbing services do you offer?

We handle a wide range of plumbing needs, including leak detection, drain cleaning, water heater repair and installation, emergency plumbing, and general plumbing maintenance.

Q:Can you remodel my kitchen or bathroom while handling plumbing upgrades?

Yes. We coordinate plumbing and remodeling work together so your project runs smoothly. Whether it is a kitchen update, bathroom renovation, or basement finishing, we plan layouts, fixtures, and plumbing access to minimize disruptions and ensure long-term functionality.

Q: How long does a typical basement finishing or remodeling project take?

Project length depends on the size and complexity of the work. Small updates might take a few days, while full remodels or basement finishing can take several weeks.

Q: Do you provide emergency plumbing services?

Yes. We understand that plumbing emergencies can happen anytime. Our team responds quickly to urgent issues like leaks, clogged drains, or water heater failures to reduce damage and restore your home’s systems efficiently.

Q:: How do I know if I need a plumbing repair or a full replacement?

If you find that your toilet is clogging easily all the time, chances are there’s a large obstruction in there that is being added to every time you flush. Something that contributes to this is the use of too much toilet paper, or the flushing of absorbent materials such as tampons. You could also be experiencing water flow issues or venting issues. Give MAG Plumbing & Remodeling a call and we’ll assess the situation for you and figure out the best, most affordable repair!

Q: How do I unclog my toilet?

Grab the plunger! Stop the bowl from filling by controlling the flapper in your toilet’s tank, and get plunging. If this doesn’t help, there may be a bigger problem in which case you’ll have to call in the pros.

Q: One of my taps has a very low water supply. What could be causing this?

This could be caused by a problem with the tap’s aerator or a leak somewhere along its pipeline. If you cannot fix the problem by cleaning the aerator, you may be dealing with a bigger issue.

Q: How do I shut off the water to the entire house?

We assess the issue carefully before recommending a solution. Minor leaks or clogs can usually be repaired, but aging pipes or recurring problems may require replacement. Our goal is to fix the problem effectively while preventing future issues.
